This expedition takes you deep into Mongolia's south Gobi and back, combining dramatic desert scenery with authentic outdoor camping. You travel by private vehicle with a dedicated guide and driver, sleep under some of the clearest night skies on earth, and take part in activities you can only experience here — camel trekking across the dunes, an open-air movie beneath the stars, and an outdoor BBQ on your first night.


Tours can be run in English, Korean, or Russian. We focus on outdoor, nature-first routes and prepare every piece of camping equipment ourselves — as if we were traveling with our own family.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Ulaanbaatar → Ikh Gazriin Chuluu (~300 km)

Airport pickup: Your guide or driver will be waiting in front of the Tom N Toms Coffee on the 1st floor of the airport, holding a name board for your group. After a short welcome and orientation, currency exchange, a supermarket stop, and lunch are arranged by your guide according to your flight time for maximum comfort.

Day 2 — Ikh Gazriin Chuluu → Yolyn Am (~350 km)

  • Activities: Trekking Yolyn Am (Vulture's Mouth gorge) · Horseback riding · Tasting "Jimbii," a Gobi specialty similar to the traditional Mongolian khorkhog, near Dalanzadgad

Day 3 — Yolyn Am → Khongoryn Els (~180 km)

Day 4 — Khongoryn Els → Tsagaan Suvarga (~300 km)

  • Activities: Exploring the White Stupa (Tsagaan Suvarga) cliffs · Open-air movie night · Sunset photography

  • Accommodation: Tent (can be switched to camp on request; Khongoryn Els to camp accordingly)

Day 5 — Tsagaan Suvarga → Ulaanbaatar → Airport (~400 km + transfer)

  • Activities: City tour of Ulaanbaatar (depending on flight time) · Visit to Narantuul Market (closed on Tuesdays) · Gobi Cashmere shopping & departure
  • Meals: Breakfast — outdoor meal · Lunch — local meal · Dinner — none
  • End of tour: Airport transfer for your departure flight. The drive from Tsagaan Suvarga to Ulaanbaatar is a full travel day; city-tour and shopping time is adjusted to your return flight (morning flights may shorten the city program).

How to Confirm Your Booking:

Send your arrival/departure flight details, total number of group members, and chosen tour package to Panda Travel via KakaoTalk.
After consulting with your dedicated tour manager, a 10% non-refundable deposit of the total tour cost must be transferred to secure and finalize your dates.
The remaining 90% balance must be paid in cash (USD) upon your arrival in Mongolia. Please ensure your USD bills are crisp, new, and unblemished.

Refund & Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your reservation prior to the tour start date, refunds are processed based on the notice period given below:
30 to 25 days before departure: 100% refund of the total amount (excluding non-refundable bank transfer fees).
15 to 10 days before departure: 70% refund of the total amount.
7 to 5 days before departure: 40% refund of the total amount.
Within 5 days of departure: No refund is applicable.
